Curriculum
Teaching to Central Board of Secondary Education standards
Janhit World School is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education under Affiliation No. 2134213, and the academic programme follows the CBSE pattern through every stage of school.
Our teaching aims at academic excellence and critical thinking rather than memorisation alone, and modern technology is used in the classroom to support better learning outcomes. Alongside the syllabus, each month carries a planned programme of reading, science, mathematics, writing, speech, quiz, art and craft, sport and cultural activity, so that the skills we value are practised and not only taught.
Academic structure
Four stages, from first school days to the board year
A child admitted to Pre-Nursery can continue at Janhit World School right through to the Class 10 board examination without changing school.
Pre-Primary
P.N.C., N.C., L.K.G. and U.K.G. Early years built around language, numbers, colouring, craft and confident speech.
Primary
Classes 1 to 5. Foundational literacy and numeracy, with regular reading, writing and creative activity.
Middle
Classes 6 to 8. Subject teaching deepens, supported by science and mathematics activity, debate and project work.
Secondary
Classes 9 and 10. Focused preparation for the Class 10 board year, with revision cycles built into the calendar.
Assessment
How progress is measured through the year
The academic year is divided into two terms. Assessment is continuous, with two periodic assessments, a half-yearly examination and the annual examination, and parent–teacher meetings scheduled so that families are never far from the picture.
